Libertarian Party of Clark County
ALL OF YOUR FREEDOMS ALL OF THE TIME
Our mission is to inspire and promote individual liberty and to eliminate the intervention of government in moral, social, and economic affairs. Join our community of candidates, activists, and allies as we work towards a world set free in our lifetime.
The Libertarian Party of Clark County became affiliated with the Libertarian Party of Indiana in 2001 when a few community members decided to organize and make an impact within the community. Our party challenges the cult of the omnipotent state and defends the rights of the individual by running candidates for elected office, challenging the status quo, holding our leaders accountable, and fighting for all of our freedoms all the time.
The LPCC affirms the following:
That all people posses certain unalienable natural rights, and that among these are rights to life, liberty, self governance, and the pursuit of justly acquired property.
That the only moral basis for government is the preservation and protection of these unalienable natural rights.
That no person or institution, public or private, has the right to initiate the use of physical force or fraud against another person, and that all people are bound, without contract, to abstain from infringing upon the unalienable natural rights of other people.
That all people are entitled to choose their own lifestyles, as long as they do not forcibly impose their values on others.
That the voluntary and unrestricted exchange of goods and services is fundamental to a peaceful and harmonious society.
The Libertarian Party of Clark County is dedicated to promoting individual liberty and living our values out loud. We do this on several fronts. Read on to learn more.
Living our principles out loud
We believe that the best solutions for society come from within, and we have made it our mission to live our principles out loud through our food pantry and various other community oriented events. Government is not the solution to what ails us. We are proving that daily. Come help us make a difference in our neighbors lives.
Silence means consent
We believe that all it takes for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing. Our activism includes being watchdogs and holding our elected officials feet to the fire, standing with others when government oppresses them, and fighting for policy that secures our rights. Come and join us.
Knowing is half the battle
We believe that the majority of Americans are libertarians, they just don't know it. We have made the education of the public about the Libertarian Party and our movement a top priority. We do this mainly through our Operation Politically Homeless booths that we set up at fairs and various public events. Want to learn more?
No One Should be Silenced
We believe that when our elected officials no longer represent us then it is our duty to find new representatives. If we cannot find someone then it is upon us to enter the arena. We are a political party. As such, it is our primary purpose to recruit and support candidates to run for office who support the ideals of the Libertarian Party.
